Transport &amp; Environment, which ranks the 27 main European railway operators according to eight categories: fare structure, discounts and concessions, service reliability, booking experience, <strong>\u00d6BB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whereas, as an index of the price of\u20ac\/km for the operator, SBB, Eurostar and GWR are the companies the most expensive in Europe. The comparison of the prices of tickets for the same routes show significant differences. On the route Milan-Rome, Italo offers rates of 1.2 times lower than Trenitalia. Similarly, the rates of Flixtrain for the route Berlin-Hamburg are 5.5 times lower than those of DB.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the analysis does not emerge <strong>no correlation <\/strong>among the<strong> indexes of price and the other evaluation criteria<\/strong>, <strong>to the evidence of the fact that higher prices are not a guarantee of a higher quality of service.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Seven operators<\/strong> \u2013 BDZ, CP, Hellenic Trains, Italo, PKP, Trenitalia and SJ stand for the offering of <strong>special rates <\/strong>and <strong>discounts <\/strong>the most advantageous. On the contrary, the <strong>operators <\/strong>rail <strong>low-cost<\/strong> as <strong>Flixtrain <\/strong>and <strong>Ouigo <\/strong>submit <strong>special offers less attractive<\/strong>in line with the business model at a low cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reliability <\/strong>the service is another factor <strong>fundamental <\/strong>for consumers, <strong>among the 25 operators, which were available the data on the punctuality, only 8 (32%) have achieved a rate of punctuality of more than 80%, <\/strong>considering a threshold of five minutes at the time of arrival at the destination.
